Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots Photoset
Just digging around in the Dead End Thrills photosets should be enough to satiate anyone who's sick of watermarked marketing images/screenshots. Although those do serve a purpose, they've grown increasingly irritating to someone such as myself, so any gamer that claims to be embarking on even a hollow simulacrum of photography will have my devotion as a fan. I've done this many times before, but once again---digging around on DET is a bit inspiring. Thankfully, my personally favorite set of games have almost always had an in-game camera function, which is somewhat of a rarity in the console-arena, even today. Normally, I would have just uploaded them to the DET group on Flickr, but I've no idea how stringent the moderator is on post-processing at the moment (though most of what I did in these shots can actually be done in the game's own photo-processor). Either way, it's enjoyable for what one can manage without the luxury of a P.C. version (i.e. the ability to max out resolutions and downsample and whatnot). I do intend to give it a go for myself whenever I raise enough funds for a new computer (as well as the PC iterations of the MGS games).
